Coming back from not doing reviews super frequently to say that one glance was all it took for me to think "this must be front-paged ASAP."

Where do I even begin with analyzing what makes this picture so darn visually appealing? I suppose I could start with the noticeable changes in the perspective.

The perspective does an excellent job at presenting the stylish cat woman and beautifully illustrated gold car; even the background frame of the sky and the sets of text beside it on either side* looks titled, creating this illusion that there's a flat image of the sky itself behind the car - or maybe the car's emerging from a rectangular portal into a white void?

The cat woman herself looks stunning as well. The foreshortening helps maintain what the perspective's trying to do, and her pose is pretty good as well; the red flash inbetween her legs serves as a nice touch of flair that reminds me of an unused animation for Girlfriend in Friday Night Funkin'.

The casual gamer-esque outfit this cat gal wears also serves as a somewhat comedic juxtaposition for the fancy gold car that any billionaire would kill to own; the Call Of Duty shirt and its many wrinkles, the un-tied shoes and apparent lack of pants would make the average viewer question in their mind just how this woman was able to aquire such an expensive-looking automobile. (Also, I'm giving bonus points for her having freckles; makes her skin look like vanilla bean ice cream and adds some extra detail for the eyes to observe at. And the alcohol bottle off to the side of the car's hood is a neat touch as well.)

And lastly, before I forget to mention this, the sky in the background is utterly gorgeous. Having read the description of this piece, it must've taken an ungodly amount of hours to draw that and everything else in this picture.

*(Genius idea to use the text on the left side of the background as a watermark!)

This redesign piques my interest, although it's hard to tell what this is supposed to be a redesign of.

I like her vibes, and I can see why the title is "skyblue-ass vibes." Color scheme's pretty decent; quite different from the color schemes of your other OCs - this gal's got a lot more diverse hues in her color scheme, and in a way that also applies to her choice of clothing. I'd describe it as being somewhat free-spirited with a small dash of horny bait with the fishnet stockings and bra-like shirt.

This'll likely be from chub brainrot, but something about this woman's midsection has me thinking there's the slightest hint of chubbiness in there.

MidTierArtist responds:

its Alice btw
and yes shes chubby but i call her fat

I must say, this D-Sides Dan design has quite the dapper looks. Something about the addition of silver/grey into the color scheme, as well as the added hat and face mask makes it appear that Dan's managed to fancy up his original attire all on his own.

Could just be me, but I'm reminded of a specific Spy cosmetic as I take a closer look at this; might even based on the cosmetic I'm thinking of.

MidTierArtist responds:

hes basically a spy main with demoman weapons

Y'know, now that I think about it.. Artstyle-wise, someone would realistically confuse Dan for Edd.

(I wonder what an Eddsworld mix of The End V1 would sound like. And I mean like something that isn't a bum-ass chromatic swap; like an actual remix.)

MidTierArtist responds:

if i was a composer i wouldnt sit here and make an art concept instead of an actual music of it

YO, THIS GOES HARD

You never fail to amaze me with how you approach coloring your artwork. I'll admit, the background really does scream *eyestrain* more than your previous work tends to, yet it manages to not be super distracting from the main focus of the art itself. In fact, I've noticed as I'm writing that there's some hidden text inside the background itself. No clue what any of it means, but the FNAF kid in me has a soft spot for finding little "easter eggs" like that in images.

The crimson coat is also very visually pleasing to me. It almost looks like someone tried visualizing rushing blood with the way the light and darker shades of red spread out across the coat. And the blue on the zipper, shirt and eyes provides a nice contrast!

And having noticed that this art is in relation to Death Note, the signature text having an edgy font that kinda resembles DN's logo is some great attention to detail as well!

This is a really stylish illustration! Kinda feels like a modernized old Sonic advertisement, which I suppose is fitting, given the logo for it is visible.

I like how energetic the whole piece is visually, especially with Coney's pose and the way she enthusiastically eats the Chili Cheese Dog with an anime-esque open smile.

(Sorry to hear about your dad losing his job. Hopefully he finds another one soon!)

Ngl, when I first glanced at this, I thought this was Alan disguising as the F2P Engie from the look of the goggles' shine. And also from the v-shaped smile.

Aside from that, not much else to say 'bout this, admittingly.

MidTierArtist responds:

due to Alan's face being to large he wouldnt need the goggles

NOOOOO SHE DIED-

Idk what game those two achievements come from (really appreciate the explicit context), but I find the combination of them here to be really creative, and the dead Mildew provides a touch of comedy to the whole picture.

Almost forgot to write a review for this 'cus Newgrounds went down for maitenance earlier (big L), lol.

I already said this was fantastic in Discord, but I wanna be more in-depth about it here. For starters, the presentation is superb; a noticeable step-up in regards to the artstyle, particularly. Now, I will say that the background looks rather off; for it's hard to tell exactly where Flame and your sona are at, even with repeated glances - the lamp(?) at the bottom right-hand corner could also confuse some viewers a lot.

Another oddity I've noticed as I'm writing is in your sona's expression. The eyes aren't aimed at Flame's and the blank stare is a tad jarring upon closer inspection. On the other hand, Flame himself looks great, and the Fatal Error shirt looking confused adds a nice touch of charm to the whole thing.

Aside from those critiques, this is still a great illustration. It just needs some bug fixes, if you get what I mean.

Faith3231 responds:

yeah i tried to reference the art by the scott priligam art style a bit (and note, it was challenging as hell around the time i was drawing it) but thanks,,

My favorite out of these has to be the stylized Boiled One guy. The original image of him is *kinda* unnerving to look at, but this stylized version feels it'd be something one would see in a Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion mod.

Runner-up would be the first entry in this art dump; the semi-chibi versions of Cree and Dan are cute, the former especially for the (>:3) face. She has marketable plushie potential.

The rest of the art here is pretty decent, me thinks.

Eldritch artist on the spectrum. I make SFW and NSFW art; minors begone.
