I wasn't around to experience old DeviantArt beyond the cavalcade of cringe compilation videos made by Solar Sands, JelloApocalypse, DeviantCringe and Pkrussl back in the day; but I could tell that the site had a special place in people's hearts.
You manage to capture that feeling exceptionally well here; a perfect recreation of DeviantArt's past grandeur with this 3D model of its skrunkly mascot and the background that surrounds him.
This piece also had me paying attention to DeviantArt's original logo; noticing the stylized lowercase "da" harkons back to a time when companies and brands didn't minimalize their logos and made them uniquely expressive. It further emphasizes the pain of what DeviantArt has become in recent years; "zombie website" best describes the current state its in.
