Tbh, there ain't much I could really comment about this, with one particular exception: Yerself's open grin is *perfect.* Love that he stares into the camera, too.

And much like the "My Treat In Beatings" picture, this here's another instance of where a small background detail would've given a neat touch of pizazz to the whole illustration. (Maybe even some bits of dialouge, too? Assuming Yerself can speak.)

I'm surprised to see that there were four whole idle poses drawn here. Unsurprisingly, the Norah one actually jumpscared me, 'cus I never expect you to draw her; so seeing her in your artstyle's always a pleasant surprise. :3

The thing I like most about all four of these idle poses is that the personality of each character is easy to read by simply glancing at their faces and how they hold their microphones. It serves as a good example of - and a way to practice - strong character design.

(And I'm only now realizing this, but drawing FNF-styled idle poses seems to be a great way to quickly whip up a full-body reference for a character. Might try that myself at some point.)

fat women my beloved

Alice's face in the second picture is pretty cute, imo.

Got nothin' else to say, except that the design's perfect now.

I like his name. Prolly unintentional, but it could also reference the Spy's Your Eternal Reward knife, 'cus of the "Yer" part.

As for the design itself.. while decent, but I feel it's rather bland. I think if the clothes were tattered and had several splotches of blood on them - or even had the crowbar be bloodstained / rusty - it'd sell the premise of Yerself more effectively. The only way the average viewer would tell that he's gone mad from being dumped is from his expression alone.

Not saying that said expression is bad. It's great, but I feel that it is doing all the heavy lifting in regards to giving this guy any distinct visual qualities, beyond just wearing his signature clothing differently, and wielding a color-coded crowbar.

this is just a fucking wip
bugger

The photo-realistic Mr. Frog in the background's an accurate representation of the funny green frog man's inherent unpredictability; behind that innocent, wide smile is a violent creature driven to cause chaos with nearly every opportunity he gets.

YOOOOO- SILLY BILLY MENTIONED AHHHHHHHH XD

Seriously, I silently squealed in joy when this showed up on my feed. So you can bet that I got a LOT to say about this particular piece.

For starters, the presentation: I love it. Your artstyle uniquely captures the emotional intensity of Silly Billy and the song's ending lyrics; there's loads of detail packed within that it feels like I'm looking at a small I Speye page, especially when I take closer glances at the art itself - the mirror shards, transparent static effect, the after-image of Yourself in the background, the text... and the colors? Oh, the colors... they are absolutely gorgeous. Like, I don't know how you manage to create such beautiful paintings, but I'd want to learn how to do so someday.

Yourself's expression is also rather intriguing. It's like he's grinning and frowning at the same time. And given the context of his backstory, it's quite fitting, imo.

All-in-all, the Friday Night Funkin' fan within me is utterly *joyous* with this painting (no pun intended; Hit Single Real reference, lol). I can only imagine how you'd interpret the other tracks found within the Hit Single mod - I think I'd actually explode if you drew Lord X for either Joyous or Trichael.

(I know I'll forget to, but I may check out that aforementioned Car Seat Headrest album. Title's wacky af, but something tells me it'd hit different from some of the albums I've listened to in the past.)

This is a fantastic piece. When I look at this, it feels like I'm looking at the kind of promotional art you'd see in a comic book page or two from the early-to-late 2000's; the first version, in particular, carries this vibe exceptionally well.

If you ever decide to make more art like this, I'd be eager to look forward to them.

I don't think I said something like this when I first saw the new reference sheet a while ago, but the persona glow up is real.

In my opinion, the biggest part of this glow up is that Fatal Error is properly integrated into the design; beyond being referenced as the shirt's signature symbol. I also like that the clothing's color scheme is altered and that your persona's left eye changes while Fatal Error is active.

Although, speaking of the Fatal Error alt, I can't help but point out that the shadow covering the top half of the face is oddly cut off right where the hair's edges are. It's a small error (no pun intended), but can be rather jarring when looking closely.

I love how this replicates the Super Paper Mario artstyle flawlessly, while hints of your artstyle still shine through - particularly with the shading.

I have this feeling that Paper Mario's pose is supposed to reference something, but I'm not sure what said reference is, exactly.

I also adore how all the game's antagonists - minus Mr. L - are in the background. Feels like I'm looking a single frame to the intro of an anime like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

You could probably edit this into a piece of fake boxart for Super Paper Mario and it'd go hard, imo.

NoNthings responds:

I actually drew mr. L but forgot to add him in lol

Eldritch artist on the spectrum. I make SFW and NSFW art; minors begone.
